Clearly You Need Clarity

Cue the music:

I can see clearly now the rain is gone. I can see all obstacles in my way. Gone are the dark clouds that had me blind. It's gonna be a bright Bright sunshiny day. It's gonna be a bright Bright sunshiny day.

Oh, yes I can make it now the pain is gone. All of the bad feelings have disappeared. Here is that rainbow I've been praying for. It's gonna be a bright Bright sunshiny day.

Look all around, there's nothing but blue skies. Look straight ahead, there's nothing but blue skies.

Maybe you don’t know this song. It’s one that was popular when I was growing up, back in the days of 8 track and cassette tapes. It has been going through my head for the last few days as I gathered my thoughts together, so I make some sort of sense as I write. Link to the actual song with its two verses of lyrics: https://youtu.be/FscIgtDJFXg

Let’s talk clarity. When I think of clarity I think of the mountain water I saw in Switzerland; crystal clear, an amazing light blue. You could see things in that river or stream so clearly. I think of the clean, clear feeling of the air after a nice summer rain or a full moon on a cold, cloudless winter night.

Creating the life you desire, finding your purpose, and living in that vision requires clarity. When you know what you want in life, what your purpose is, and how you want to live, getting there requires absolute clarity. When you have that, you can begin to remove barriers and take action to get what you say you want.

Think about it. How would a life with less confusion and doubt feel? Clarity makes everything easier, but getting there requires change and commitment, especially if you are busy, distracted, and overwhelmed. And busy, distracted, and overwhelmed come with a lack of clarity. It’s a vicious circle.

You say you want the life of your dreams, here are a few strategies that will help you gain absolute clarity.

Visualize, Write, Future Pace Your Future Life.

Take a few hours. Maybe all at once, maybe break it up. Whatever works. Take time to just dream. Imagine your life in a year, 2 years, 5 years, etc. Visualize it as if it happened. See, hear, feel all that is happening. Write down what you want in your personal, professional, financial, health, spiritual areas of your life as a story. Write it in the third person.

Let me give you a quick example: On April 22, 2022, Roni has manifested $100,000 that she uses to scale up her business to a thriving international company.

Why do this? It will tell your unconscious mind that this has already happened. Your unconscious mind says “Ok, you’ve already done it, you can do it again.”

Create SMART goals for each area you want to focus on.

Not sure what a SMART goal is?

Identify what is getting in the way of you creating what you want.

  • Clutter

  • Lack of schedule

  • Having high carb/sugary food in your house

  • Watching too much t.v.

  • Consuming too much alcohol

  • Being a victim

Determine what you will need to support you in accomplishing your dream.

Some things I have found helpful for myself and others:

  • Hire a coach/mentor.

  • Join a mastermind.

  • Take online courses.

  • Get a gym membership.

  • Have an accountability group/partner.

  1. Create weekly action steps.

  • Write down what you will accomplish that week in all areas you are working on.

  • Add steps to your schedule.

  • When you have accomplished everything on your action plan, CELEBRATE.

  1. Eliminate distractions.

  • Turn off notifications on your phone and email. Set specific times to check.

  • Stop the scroll. You can see how many minutes/hours a day you are on social media on your phone. Limit the amount of time you are scrolling.

  • Schedule your time. Be sure to include time to accomplish action steps identified in #5.

  1. Get quiet.

  • Set aside a few minutes to get quiet and/or meditate every day.

  • Take a bubble bath.

  • Walk.

This time will clear the clutter in your brain and give you the mental clarity to know what needs to happen next.

9. Put yourself where your heart wants to be. Steven Pressfield says, “That’s the trick and there is nothing more to it. Shut up and get into the studio. Once your physical envelope is standing before the easel, your heart and mind will follow. If you want to write, plant your backside in front of the typewriter. Sooner or later your fingers will settle onto the keys. Not long after that, I promise, the goddess will slip invisibly but powerfully into the room.”

10. Always challenge your never. What if our nevers are what we want most, but because we don’t want to be hurt, or fail, or expose ourselves to disappointment, so we don’t ever try them? As soon as you think, “I could never do that” or “I could never go without this” challenge your nevers. They are usually exactly what you need for absolute clarity.

Want to accomplish your dreams? To create the life you want takes work and is so rewarding. Not just when you get there (Do we ever really get there?) but rewards come along the journey to get there.

Visualize. Clear the barriers and identify the supports. Get light. Get clear on what matters by getting rid of everything that doesn’t.
